
Silver prices nosedive
MUMBAI: Silver prices nosedived on the bullion market here Friday on heavy stockists offerings in the wake of poor industrial demand. Prices were also affected by lower overseas advices.
Silver ready .999 fineness and tenderable silver both slumped by Rs 95.00 each to Rs 7400 and Rs 7405 as against its previous close of Rs 7495 and Rs 7500 respectively. Raw silver .916 fineness nosedived by Rs 140 to Rs 7255 from the last close of Rs 7395.
Standard gold dropped by Rs 30 to Rs 4300 and 22-carat gold was nominally quoted lower by Rs 25 to Rs 3980 from the last close of Rs 4330 and Rs 4005 respectively. Ten-tola gold bar .999 purity declined by Rs 300 to Rs 50,300 from the previous close of Rs 50,600.
Satyam becomes ISP in city

Addressing a press conference here today, R Ramaraj, managing director, Satyam Infoway said as the country8217;s first national private ISP, quot;the company8217;s aim is to re-define the way internet connections will be made available in the Indian marketplace. Working with Intel will provide us with access to the latest technology and enable us to reach a wide market through their vendor partners.quot;
