The Government has decided to reconstitute the Indian National Man and Biosphere MAB Committee.
The panel will have Secretary or Special Secretary CS Division or Additional Secretary CS Division, Ministry of Environment and Forests, as its Chairman. It will have Additional DG WL, Joint Secretary CS, Joint Secretary and FA from Forest Ministry, Director General, ICFRE, Director, Botanical Survey of India, as its members. The other members are Madhav Gadgil, Indian Institute of Science, R.S. Tripathi, Northeastern Hill University, C.R. Babu, DU, K.C. Malhotra, Indian Statistical Institute, A.C. Bhagawati, Guwahati University. The panel has Director CS, Forest Minstry as its member secretary.
