PUNE, March 30: The British Council on Monday launched Indev 8211; India Development Information Network at a function held at the British Library BCL here on Monday.
The network is British Council8217;s initiative to address problems faced by development managers in accessing development information in India. The first of its kind, Indev will hold and disseminate information that is crucial for decision makers, researchers, academics and development managers and act as a gateway to development information on India.
The contents of the website : indev.nic, include organisations database, documents database, projects database, development newspaper, e-mail digest service and even web training material. The website was inaugurated by D P Bobde, senior technical director of National Informatics Centre, Pune. Anil Bakshi, Librarian, British Library explained the various features of the web site to the audience.
