Dhaka, sept 11: Mohun Bagan played a goalless draw against Muktijoddha Sangsad of Bangladesh in the return leg match and qualified for the next round of the Asian Club Championship today. Bagan took advantage of two wasted chances by Muktijoddha and booked a place in the next round against Jubilo Iwota of Japan, who got the first round bye.
The visitors had beaten Muktijoddha 2-1 in their home tie last month in Calcutta, and today they succeeded in drawing the match as planned. Bagan defenders performed superbly in foiling a series of Muktijoddha attacks in both the halves.
