SINGAPORE, FEB 17: India’s challenge ended in the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship here on Thursday when Chetan Baboor went down fighting to England’s Mathew Syed 19-21, 21-19 16-21, 14-21 in the men’s singles semifinals.

Syed will now meet Singapore’s Duan Yong Jin, who beat Canada’s Johnny Huang 21-16, 13-21, 11-21, 21-8, 21-19.

The women’s singles final will be an all-Singapore affair after Li Jia Wei and Jin Jung Hong won their semi-final matches.
