Taking serious note of the Himachal Medical Officers8217; Association HMOA opposition to appointment of at least one ayurvedic medical officer in each community health centre CHCs and primary health centre PHCs in the state, the Himachal Ayurvedic Medical Officers Association has urged the government to implement a national policy in this regard.

Criticising the allopathic doctors8217; action in this respect, the Ayurvedic association representatives told newsmen on Monday that most ayurvedic institutions are situated in rural areas of the state, where ayurvedic doctors are providing health services to people and where no allopathic doctors wanted to work.
