
KIMBERLEY, Jan 24: Two run-outs halted Pakistan8217;s rally and gave Australia a 27-run victory at the under-19 cricket World Cup yesterday.
Led by all-rounder James Hopes 71, Australia set a target of 263 for eight, helped by Michael Klinger8217;s 64. With the help of Saeed Anwar Jr8217;s unbeaten 60, Pakistan reached 206 for seven, but then lost their last three wickets for 20 runs.
The victory moved Australia to the top of the Basil D8217;Oliveira pool in the super league with their second victory. Pakistan lost their second chance of reaching the final.
