In combined raids the police have arrested four persons in connection with piracy of audio cassettes in central Mumbai on Monday.

Acting on a complaint from Indian Music Industries, Mumbai, Crime Branch and Social Security Branch officers under the supervision of joint Commissioner Crime Ranjit Singh Sharma raided four places under the jurisdiction of D B Marg police station and arrested four persons. They also seized 5,330 pirated audio cassettes, 57 compact discs collectively valued at Rs 1,91,735 from the accused.

The police said, while Vijay Hirachand Jain and Rajesh Chandulal Jain were operating from Parvati Mansion opposite Apsara Cinema, Shantilal Laxmichand Chopra and Ayyub Ibrahim Khan operated from 1st floor Walker House and 2nd floor New India House at Tribhuwandas Road in the area respectively.
