At Jetking, communication skills in focus

An induction-cum-guidance programme of Jetking Chinchwad was organised at Prof Ramakrishna More auditorium in Chinchwad recently. The main focus of the programme was to motivate the students to enhance their communication skills and create awareness about the opportunities currently prevalent in IT industry. Eminent speakers were invited to address the students.

Shabnam Asthana, director, Empowered Solutions, a PR and communications company, spoke to the students on 8221;Being a successful brand ambassador and maximising your potential.8221; She gave valuable tips on how to enhance one8217;s skills and make a positive impact in the corporate world as well as in one8217;s personal life. She also enlightened the students on her company8217;s recently launched corporate forum for select and reputed corporates and dynamic professionals called Club Empowered, which takes up dynamic and relevant corporate issues for discussion during its quarterly meetings.

Avind Sharma, a corporate trainer from Mumbai Red Hat office, shared his experience in IT and focused on Red Hat opportunities in IT industries. He answered students8217; queries on RH system. The programme was hosted by Rani Bohat, placement officer, Leena Sapra, director, Jetking Chinchwad and Madhavi Longani, centre director were also present.

8220;Jet News,8221; the newsletter, was released by the Longani. It is related to the current IT news and gives updates on the student8217;s career. The students shared their views about the institute and said that they were happy that the centre contributes 100 per cent for student8217;s placement, stated a press note.
