
The Anti-Terrorism Squad ATS busted a gunrunning racket and arrested five of the gang members in Chinhat area of Lucknow on Saturday. The cops recovered two .32 bore revolvers and pistols from the possession of the accused.
Senior Superintendent of Police, ATS, Rajeev Sabbarwal said: 8220;The police team arrested five youths carrying illicit firearms meant to be sold to the criminals. The gang used to procure arms from the dealers in Nepal and West Bengal and dispose it off in Uttar Pradesh.8221;
The accused have been identified as Prem Chand Verma, Mohit Kumar alias Guddu, Mohammad Naseem Khan, Rajesh Kumar Yadav and Narsingh.
