BANGALORE, MARCH 7: Aparna Popat8217;s quest to reach her maiden Grand Prix Championship final was thwarted by defending champion Kim Ji Hyun of Korea.The Korean, seeded no 30 in the world, beat the Indian Natinal champion Aparna 11-5, 11-5, in the semi-finals of the 80,000 Swedish Open Badminton Championship at Borlange yesterday.

Aparna, along with other members of the Indian team, will leave for Birmingham for the All-England Championship commencing from March 9.
