PUNE, Jan 1: The ill-lit, dividerless and potholed Pune-Mumbai highway at Khadki has claimed another life. Pradeep Dulal De (30) was killed and his wife Deepika were seriously injured when their car by was hit by a speeding truck last night. Their son Gopal (3) escaped unhurt.The mishap occurred at 9.15 pm opposite the Ordnance Factory hospital. De, a businessman, was proceeding towards Pune from Aundh when their car was hit by the truck from the opposite direction. De, who was driving, died on the spot. Deepika (25) who was in the front seat sustained serious injuries.
