With reference to your news report, 8216;A-I official faces stir over 8216;caste slur,8217;8217; IE, February 18, remarks like 8216;8216;Dhed aur Chamaro ki ladki hawaii sundari nahi ho sakti8217;8217; reaffirm the reality that no matter how high a rank you hold or how educated you are, you are still blatantly anti-humanity. You may well have a PhD from Harvard but you still employ words like 8216;Chamars8217; or 8216;Dhed8217;. It is only in India that after being so offensive against a community, you continue to hold your government job.

Risky game
8226; The decision to send the Indian team to Pakistan is a mistake. If any player were to get hurt, there would likely be an unfortunate anti-Muslim feeling in India. Just when we were putting Godhra and its aftermath, Kashmir and the plight of the Pandits, behind us. Why risk another eruption?

The fourth S
8226; This refers to Saeed Naqvi8217;s 8216;Our triple S matrix8217; IE, February 20. A big thank you to Saeed saab for his wonderful
article on the three Ss.
I suggest we add him as the fourth 8216;S8217; to that list for recognising the genius of what binds India together.

Damaged by Modi
8226; Thanks to you, the frightened witnesses in the Bilkis case in Gujarat were able to give their testimony on the atrocities they witnessed. It is disappointing that notwithstanding the protection of the Indian flag, these witnesses were too frightened to depose in Gujarat courts, they had to be brought to Mumbai courts.
Modi and his government have ruined the image of India.

More Dubeys

8226; Though UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has withdrawn the order to close all government schools and colleges by noon every Friday so that Muslims can offer namaz, his revised diktat which passes the buck to the DMs to take decisions in their districts must be opposed by the IAS and IPS associations of the state. Now they will be the target of communal frenzy instead of the politicians.
Just for fear of transfers or due to greed for plum postings, IAS and IPS officers should not keep quiet. They must openly call for a 8220;Code of Conduct8217;8217; from politicians in office so that the 8220;Laxman Rekha8221; is clear. This country needs more public servants like former Bihar DGP Ojha and young Satyendra Dube, who are prepared to sacrifice their job and even their life, in the line of duty.

Good expose
8226; S.S. Gill8217;s article 8216;BJP8217;s weapons of mass persuasion8217; IE, February 20 is an excellent expose of the BJP8217;s propaganda. India is shining for leaders who skim money off the public exchequer, for sangh parivar goons who escape all justice, and for the upper classes who can now act like 800 million Indians don8217;t exist.
