CHANDIGARH, Nov 9: Deadly bowling by left arm spinner Amardeep 5 for 9 bowled DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8 to a 83-run victory over Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 20 in the Chandigarh Inter-School Cricket Tournament for under-19 at the Government School, Sector 27 here today.

After winning the toss, DAV School scored 148 runs in a match reduced to 18 overs a side as the ball was lost during the play. Charanpreet was their topscorer with 34 runs.

Government Senior Secondary School-20 were bowled out for 65 in 14.2 overs.Manpreet and Poras claimed two wickets apiece. Amardeep was the wrecker-in-chief by dismissing five batsmen.

Brief Scores: DAV School-8: 148 Charanpreet 34, Lakshya 29, Ashish 27, Avinash 25 n.o, Amandeep 17 n.o, Manoj 2 for 20. GSSSS-20 Amardeep 5 got 9, Poras 2 for 5, Manpreet 2 for 22.

In the under-14 match at Movt Model SSS-32 ground , Manav Mangal High School, Sector 21-C beat Bloom Model School, Sector 21 by 71 runs.

Brief Scores: MMHS-21: 109 for 8 in 20 overs Amit Vohra 23, Harsimran Singh 19, Karam 13 n.o, Visas 2 for 18. Bloom Model-21: 38 Mannu 11 not out, Karam 4 for 7, Sourabh Puri 3 for 6, Amit 2 for 5.
