It8217;s been long since we caught sight of city bred Ayushman Khurrana on home turf. 8220;This visit comes after a year,8221; tells Khurrana who was in town to kick-off the auditions for MTV Roadies8217; season six. No one knows the show better than Ayushman, who actually won the top spot a few years ago. 8220;And life never really was the same after that,8221; he twinkles back as we notice this boy from next door has grown up. 8220;I feel it too,8221; he laughs. Post his win on MTV, Ayushman took to RJing with Big FM in Delhi and never really looked back after that. 8220;My stint as a radio jockey was a lot of fun. In fact I will never rule it out as a career option again. It8217;s my insurance,8221; he admits.

While radio jockeying took him to Mumbai, Ayushman turned VJ soon after. 8220;I have been hosting a lot of shows since. There8217;s Wassup and then I filled in for Nikhil Chinnappa on Super Select,8221; lists out the VJ for us. Then there was the campus show 8216;MTV U8217; that saw Ayushman hop across various universities. So what8217;s his latest? 8220;You know I have always been associated with theatre. So now I am airing my acting talent by way of Fully Faltoo movies on MTV,8221; answers Khurrana who will 8216;star8217; in 8216;Check De8217; and 8216;Jadoo Ek Bar8217;, both of which are spoofs on the Bollywood flicks Chak De and Jodaa Akbar.

Given the acting move, will Bollywood be his next big step; we can8217;t help but ask Ayushman who answers in his trademark funny style. 8220;I am not headed towards Bollywood the Ranbir Kapoor way but definitely the Ranvir Sheorey way. Remember they used to do spoofs too,8221; answers our man. As for the clicheacute;d question one asks all successful Chandigarhians, we shoot one at Ayushman too. How has the transition from Chandigarh to Mumbai been? To this he smiles, takes his time and answers: 8220;It wasn8217;t as difficult as I thought it would be.
