All 159 HUDA sites go a begging

PANCHKULA, March 5: Not even one of the 159 commercial sites which came under the hammer was sold during an auction organised by the Haryana Urban Development Authority HUDA in Sector 20 here today.

A total of 60 sites in Sabzi Mandi and 99 in Anaj Mandi were up for auction. Sources said owing to the high reserve price, there were no takers for any site. Only about a dozen aspirants had deposited earnest money.

The reserve price of 44 sites in the Sabzi Mandi measuring 50 by 20 feet 8212; was Rs 36.25 lakh, while that for the remaining 16 measuring 27 by 12 feet 8212; was fixed at Rs 8.01 lakh.

In Anaj Mandi, the reserved price for the 50 by 20 feet sites was Rs 26.75 lakh and for the 27 by 12 feet sites Rs 9.05 lakh. No fresh date for the auction has been announced.
