
NEW DELHI, November 7: Middle-Order batsmen Yere Goud and Raja Ali hammered a sedate Vidarbha bowling all over the ground to raise a possible match-winning score before Railways declared their first innings at 456 for six on the second day of their Central Zone Ranji Trophy cricket match here on Tueday.
Raja Ali hit a strokeful ton in making 112 while Goud was unlucky to miss The century by mere four runs as the two put on 153 runs for the fourth wicket partnership.
Ali and Goud8217;s 96 good work was backed by a scintillating unbeaten 52 by Santosh Sahu, who helped Railways cross 450 mark just an hour after tea.
Resuming at 153 for 2, Railways went about their job of amassing as many runs as possible. Goud struck 10 fours in his 181 ball knock, while Ali hit seven boundaries and smoted three sixes.

GWALIOR: Hosts Madhya Pradesh piled up 408 in the first innings on the second-day of their four day Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan here.
At draw of stumps, Rajasthan were 57 without no loss with openers Anshu Jain 20 and Vineet Saxena 19 at the crease.
The hosts could reach this score mainly due to a contribution of 77 from middle-order batsman Nikhil Patwardhan who was ably assisted by fast bowler Harvinder Singh Sodhi who made an unbeaten 70.
The other main scorers were opener J P Yadav who also made 70, Amay Khurasia 59 Chandrakant Pandit 24 and Sunil Lahore 37. MP resumed at 214 for 5this morning.
For Rajasthan, both Sanjeev and Aslam took two wickets each.
