A court on Monday extended the CBI remand of former UP Chief Secretary Akhand Pratap Singh by three days in connection with a disproportionate assets case. Special Judge I K Kochhar sent Singh to CBI custody till October 11 as the investigating agency sought more time to investigate the corruption case.
The CBI while moving the remand application alleged that Singh was not fully co-operating with the investigation team and that he was still to be taken to various places for further probe.
The CBI also adduced the alleged disclosure statement of Singh as given on October 4 on the basis of which the agency had claimed to have recovered various incriminating documents. Singh had reportedly refused to undergo the lie-detector test during his custodial interrogation.
