CHANDIGARH, MARCH 19: Employees of the Group 8220;D8221; of All India Radio, Chandigarh, observed a one-day strike today.

The strike started early morning and the employees sat in dharna outside AIR, Chandigarh.

Rampal Singh, president of the association of the group 8220;D8221; staff, said that while Prasar Bharati had provided higher pay-scales to the other 23,000 employees of the All India Radio, they had been left out. He alleged that they were totally ignored by the Prasar Bharati.
