Air India triumph

NEW DELHI, June 9: Air India Academy defeated Nehru Colts 6-1 in the inter-academy competition organised by the Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Tournament Society.

Prabjot Singh opened the account for Air India in the fifth minute. B. Singh further strengthened the lead with a superb goal in the seventh minute. In the ninth minute, Ratip Sharma reduced the margin for Nehru Colts. After the break, B. Singh added two more goals to his list. In the 31st minute he came up with a brilliant move from right and beat the defender and goalkeeper to net his side8217;s third goal and in the 51st minute, he ably converted a penalty corner to seal the fate of Nehru Colts. Anurag scored the sixth goal.
