AIADMK-DMK councillors clash

Four AIADMK councillors were injured in a clash with their DMK counterparts at the City Corporation premises here on Thursday.

The AIADMK members were staging a walkout from a council meeting, protesting against the corporation8217;s decision to hike water charges in the city. After coming out of the council hall, they engaged in a verbal duel with the ruling DMK members which ended in a clash.

The injured, S C Venkatachalam, Sethulakshmi, Mariappan and Subhayyan were admitted to Mohan Kumaramangalam hospital with simple injuries.
