Agarwal urged to form panel for hospitals

PUNE, Feb 2: The Pune city 8211; district patient care committee has urged the Municipal Commissioner Rajiv Agarwal to form hospital improvement committees in order to make them more efficient.

A delegation led Pradip Gupta, Chairman of the committee submitted a memorandum of their demands to Agarwal on Tuesday. The committees should function on a voluntary basis therefore not incurring any cost on the municipal administration, Gupta said in a statement issued today.

The committee should be led by the local corporator in the particular ward along with social workers, Gupta said further demanding that a board of visitors should be appointed at the Kamala Nehru Hospital.
