After the various yatras and satyagrahas by party top guns, the BJP will now return to the grassroots with a six-month training programme, an 8216;8216;ideological war8217;8217; against pseudo-secularism.
The document prepared at the Goa Chintan Baithak, aiming at 8216;8216;restoring the primacy of ideology8230;at all levels in the party8217;8217;, will form the basis of the 8216;8216;ideological war8217;8217;, party vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Friday. While the document refrains from using the term Hindutva, the decisions are in keeping with the BJP8217;s post-election resolve of going 8216;8216;back to the basics8217;8217;. The 8216;8216;war8217;8217; will go on between September 25 and February 11, 2005.
Naqvi also announced that the first BJP Chief Ministers8217; Conclave 8212; an idea borrowed from the Congress 8212; will be held on September 11 and 12. The party8217;s central election committee will meet on September 12 to finalize the list for AP and on September 16 to finalize the Maharashtra list. Naqvi also clarified that A.B. Vajpayee and L.K. Advani would not take part in the Andaman Satyagraha to be led by Sushma Swaraj from Port Blair on September 21.
