Advanced IVF centre inaugurated by President

The unit is focusing on increasing the success rates of patients who come for the first time to access IVF facility as well as patients who fail multiple times by using this facility, said Dr Nandita Palshetkar, Consultant Gynecologist and infertility specialist at the centre. These patients can be treated with a variety of techniques such as Assisted Laser Hatching, a combination of day 2 and day 5 embryo transfers also called 8216;Sequential Transfers8217;, and an introduction of a new freezing technique called vitrification. The DY Patil Fertility Centre will also focus on trying to help poor patients who want to access these services. 8220;We believe in helping infertile patients irrespective of their financial background and without compromising on the results,8221; said Dr Palshetkar.
