The opening day of the ISAF Nations Cup saw a number of surprises in the round-robin matches, in spite of the day8217;s proceedings being delayed by more than two hours due to wind and tide conditions.
Each pairing had to race against each other twice on the same pair of boats, with an exchange of boats for the second round.
Aashim Mongia8217;s team proved to be the surprise package of the day. They entered the competition as the fourth-ranked team but went on to top the day8217;s results by winning four out of five races.
