CHANDIGARH, June 14: Melodious songs were presented at 8220;Geeton Bhari Shaam8221; , a programme organised by Sur-Geet, a cultural society, at Tagore Theatre, here today.
The songs were based on problems such as pollution, population boom, environment and social evils, including divorce.
The programme started off with 8220;Ishwar Allah Tero Naam8221; sung by Raman and company.
Harleen8217;s 8220;Aao Hazoor Tumko8221; and Savita8217;s 8220;Nainon Mein Badra8221; were appreciated by the audience. R. S. Besoli and Sonia8217;s 8220;Ek Chameli Ke Mandke Tale8221;was sung with confidence. Arvinder8217;s 8220;Ur Ke Pawan Se8221;, Madeep8217;s 8220;Dekho Mera Dil8221;, Ashok Kalia8217;s 8220;Ye Jo Mohabbat Hai8221;, Raman8217;s 8220;Mein Kahin Kavi Na Ban Jaaoon8221; also evoked good response among the audience.
