
Arjun Atwal extended his lead to four strokes in the Malaysian Open before a thunder storm halted the third round on Saturday.
Atwal, who finished his rain-affected second round earlier in the day, had moved to 17 under par after eight holes when the thunderstorm struck the co-sanctioned event at the Mines Resort course.
South African Retief Goosen and Thailand8217;s Thammanoon Srirot were tied in second place at 13 under par also after eight holes. Ireland8217;s Padraig Harrington, Dean Robertson of Britain and Korean Ted Oh were next best at 11 under. Play will resume at 8 am local time on Sunday with the fourth and final round scheduled to start at 9.45am. A similar thunderstorm on Friday suspended play leaving 73 players to complete their second round on Saturday morning.
