4 stabbed over seat sharing in Blueline

In a case of road rage, four persons were allegedly stabbed over the sharing of a seat in a Blueline bus in the Nangloi area of Outer Delhi on Saturday.

The police said a man and his two sons were beaten up and allegedly stabbed around 10.45 pm on Saturday near Lokesh Cinema. The bus, plying on route no. 929 Mubarakpur to Karol Bagh was heading towards Mubarakpur when five armed assailants travelling on the bus allegedly picked a fight with one Mohammed Salim over him not vacating a seat, near Lokesh Cinema.

8220;When Salim8217;s sons Shafiq and Ashfaq tried to intervene, the assailants stabbed them. Sanju, the bus conductor, was also stabbed when he tried to pacify them,8221; a senior police officer said. All five assailants then jumped off the moving bus and escaped from the spot.

Some passengers made a PCR call and all four were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, from where they were discharged after being given preliminary treatment.

A case has been lodged at the Nangloi police station. No arrests have been made so far. DCP Outer District Atul Katiyar was unavailable for comments.
