MUMBAI, OCT 17: The Sahar police arrested a gang of four attempting to rob a man who had just flown into the city on Thursday. One Hammed landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport early on Thursday from Bahrain, and since he was to fly to his native place in Kerala, he took an Indian Airlines coach to go to the domestic airport. On reaching there, he learnt that the flight to Kerala would take off from the international airport.

Unaware of the facilities provided by the air authorities to shuttle between the two terminals, he stepped out of the domestic airport and looked for transport to reach Sahar. He was then approached by four persons who offered to take him to the airport in their van. Since one of them spoke in his mother tongue, he sat in their van unsuspectingly. En route the four robbed him of his passport, air ticket and 6,100 riyals and tried to throw him out of the van, when he raised an alarm. A patrolling team attached to Sahar police, including constables Kulkarni, Mane, Gogreand Aangne rushed to the spot and nabbed the culprits. Meanwhile, Asst PI N J Patil and Dinesh Agrawal, PSI Wadje and Ghag and constable Shintre also rushed to the spot.
