We all know that our system needs to be reviewed. Administrative Reforms Commission, after studying the system in detail and also taking public opinion a couple of years ago, has given its recommendations . The recommendations are across the party politics and spectrum of issues. These must get into implementation mode, after inviting citizen8217;s comments, objections and suggestions. While the Government has been witnessing wide-ranging rallies expressing citizen8217;s anger and demand for aggressive action, it is hoped that the Government would have given adequate thoughts before taking steps that would be excessively aggressive in character, leading to war and destruction. In order to ensure that the large silent majority8217;s voice is not drowned in the cacophony of demand for aggressive action, a large group of Civil Society has organised a simple way to express their concerns. It demands following stern but non-violent options while tackling the problem of terrorism.

What happened in Mumbai was devastating. My heart weeps to see the current situation of our country at the hands of terrorist. I believe the common man is not capable enough to stop such terror acts. People are gathering for all sorts of peace rallies and associations to curb these acts, but are they really being heard by the men in power read politicians? We must take the example of the USA, where after 9/11 security measures have been completely revised and reforms have been made to stop terrorism.

This is a wakeup call for the entire country to realise that we are one nation and must fight terrorism together. Our thoughts and spirits can definitely make a difference, and it8217;s time for Mumbaikars to show their resilience. After all, at the end of the day, I think it8217;s all about moving ahead.
