Several high profile inspector rank officers who had been shunted out of Mumbai in the aftermath of the Antilia case are back in the city after the latest round of transfers. After the alleged role of Sachin Waze had cropped up in the Antilia case, officers who were seen as influential and were posted in the city for long had been shunted out by the then Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra.
A certain union minister from Maharashtra so strongly recommended the name of a tehsildar posted in Vidarbha that the Chief Minister had to give green signal to that transfer in Thane district. The officer is facing departmental inquiry in a corruption case pending with Additional CS level officer and the ACB. In addition he has already spent more than five years in Thane. Despite letters sent to CS and CMO, the officer has now been transferred to Thane.
