Actor Parvathy R Krishna was in Bangkok when a massive earthquake struck the city. In her latest social media post, Parvathy recounted the most ‘terrifying’ experience of her life. She detailed the ordeal and expressed shock over the situation in the Thai capital.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Parvathy shared a compilation of videos from the horrific moments in Bangkok. Along with the clip, she wrote in the caption, “I’m still shaking as I write this, but I’m grateful to be alive. Today, I experienced the most terrifying earthquake of my life in Bangkok. The 7.7 magnitude quake shook everything, and I mean everything. I witnessed buildings cracking, people running for their lives, and chaos everywhere.”
It further read, “No cabs, no transportation, no nothing… just pure panic. In that moment, all I could think about was my loved ones. I quickly called my family and talked to them, and it felt like I was finally talking to them after an eternity.”
“I’m still trying to process what just happened, but I know that I’ve been given a second chance at life. I’m grateful for this newfound appreciation for life and for the chance to reconnect with what truly matters. To everyone affected by the earthquake, my heart goes out to you. May we all find strength and resilience in the face of adversity,” Parvathy concluded, expressing gratitude for surviving the Bangkok earthquake.
After the disaster, Parvathy R Krishna came back to Kerala and posted an update through her Instagram Story. “Reality check: I’m still in shock and can’t believe I’m living to share this experience. Earthquake in Bangkok was a harrowing reminder of life’s fragility. As I walked through the door, all I could think about was holding my loved ones close. I hugged and kissed my husband and son for what felt like an eternity, tears streaming down my face,” it read.
A powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.7 and at least six aftershocks struck central Myanmar on Friday, bringing buildings down in the country’s second-largest city, Mandalay, and killing at least 1,600 people as of Sunday. Neighbouring Thailand was also affected.
