🔴 The situation in Manipur remains tense, with fresh bouts of violence being reported over the last few days. Amid the continuing tension, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Imphal for a four-day visit yesterday. Shah plans to bring the Meitis and Kukis together to discuss ways to resolve the situation, sources said.

🔴 Meanwhile, it appears that the security forces have been faced with a new challenge in the violence-hit Northeastern state: arms and ammunition in the hands of “miscreants”. At multiple military and police stations, it appears civilians have been trying to seize arms. Arms were also recovered from multiple locations by security personnel amid incidents of attempted arson and shooting.

👉🏽 A day after top wrestlers were detained and police cleared their protest site, Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Pranav Tayal said the wrestlers, who were released on Sunday night, would not be allowed back at Jantar Mantar.

👉🏽 At least two Mauritius companies which invested in the Adani Group companies and found mention in the Hindenburg Group’s Adani report were on the radar of Indian tax authorities for over a decade.

👉🏽 In the second such incident in Kashmir this year, a person from Jammu was killed by suspected militants in Anantnag on Monday night. The victim has been identified as Deepak Kumar, 26, from Udhampur district of Jammu region, who was working with a private circus in Anantnag.

Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta raised concerns over banks adopting over-aggressive growth strategies and using innovative methods for evergreening of loans — reviving a loan on the verge of default by extending more loans to the same borrower.
