‘Nupur is in Jaipur right now, and she’s taken my favourite mask. Like always’: Kriti Sanon shares her skincare routine
Kriti begins by emphasising how important skincare is to her, especially after the pandemic, when she “really, almost got obsessed with skincare.”

Everyone loves that fresh, glowing skin Kriti Sanon flaunts effortlessly. She’s shared her skincare journey in her own words, giving fans a peek into the products and rituals she swears by.
Here’s a detailed look at how Kriti keeps her skin healthy, balanced, and radiant, with a few dermatologist tips sprinkled in for extra care.
Kriti begins by emphasising how important skincare is to her, especially after the pandemic, when she “really, almost got obsessed with skincare.” She admits, “Skincare for me is actually very, very, very important. I have gotten majorly into skincare during the pandemic… I kind of realised that it really only works when you do a proper routine.”
Her routine focuses on hydration and brightening. She uses Vitamin C serum every morning without fail because, “Vitamin C is brightening, it’s got antioxidants, it’s hydrating, and Vitamin C also helps your SPF. So it’s actually very, very good.”
Kriti admits she doesn’t do masks daily: “I do not do a mask every single day, but I do it like once in a week, maybe sometimes twice.”
“I actually do a particular mask, which is my favourite…jo meri behen le gayi hai. Main bahaut der se dhundne ki koshish kar rahi thi aur mujhe nahi mil raha tha. I just called her, and she’s in Jaipur right now, and she’s taken my favourite mask. Like always,” Sanon said, showcasing that bond with her sister, Nupur Sanon.
She’s mindful about not overdoing the mask because harsh treatment can damage skin: “If I have a very, very important shoot, and sometimes you know I feel like my skin is not feeling nice and I need to give it a little extra.”
This balanced approach aligns well with expert warnings. Dr Shikha Khare, Consultant Dermatologist at Yatharth Hospitals, explains:
“Aggressive over-enthusiastic scrubbing may lead to hypersensitive skin, leading to redness, burning, itching, swelling, pigmentation, and sometimes thickened skin and scarring. This should be avoided, especially in sensitive skin types.”
Sanon describes the mask she uses as “very creamy” and talks about carefully applying it with her hands to avoid harsh pressure: “I just feel that I know how much pressure I am putting, how much I am spreading it.”
Post-mask, she uses a microfiber towel to gently pat the skin dry: “I don’t rub, I just pat. Damp skin absorbs skincare products better, so I keep my skin a little damp.”
This shows her attention to preserving the skin’s barrier and preventing irritation.
Kriti is clear about sunscreen being a non-negotiable: “Do not miss your SPF. Sunscreen is extremely important because, in the long run, sun damage is very difficult to reverse.”
She prefers a moisturising sunscreen that also acts as a light moisturiser: “I don’t like putting moisturiser then sunscreen separately, so I use a moisturising sunscreen.”
Her night routine varies depending on how her skin feels: “My night skincare routine is a little more complicated, and it changes with how my skin is feeling and what I’ve done the previous day.”
She experiments and listens to her skin, which is a great tip for anyone feeling overwhelmed by skincare choices.
Even her lip care is thoughtful: “I hate dry lips, so I put on a nice layer of lip balm.”
She also does a little trick at night, applying leftover balm on “the crow’s feet area” to lock in moisture.
Her routine balances research-backed products with gentle application and consistency — all essential for maintaining healthy skin without irritation. As Dr Khare warns,
“Microscopic trauma from aggressive scrubbing can increase sun sensitivity and worsen skin issues. Kriti’s careful, hydrated approach protects her skin’s natural barrier while keeping it radiant.”
