‘Pink cheeks are always in’: Alia Bhatt shows us how to ace the clean girl look with just 5 products

Alia Bhatt’s fresh-faced selfies are the perfect inspiration for your next beachy getaway, or if you are a fan of the girl next door look, there’s no better idol to turn to. In a recent social media post, the actor shared a glimpse into her getting ready process, taking us through the key makeup products used to achieve the Instagram-viral clean girl aesthetic.

In a summery tangerine top and neatly pulled-back ponytail, Bhatt sits down in front of the camera to do her makeup. To start off, she takes a pink blush and dabs it on both her cheeks, blending the pigment in for a soft flushed look. “Pink cheeks are always in,” reads the text on the video. She takes the product a little higher till the sides of her temples for a sunkissed effect. Next, she takes a coral shade and swipes it across her lips, dabbing it with her fingertips to blend the colour in. Whatever product is left on her fingers, she dots it on both her cheeks to make her look cohesive.

Previously, Bhatt had found herself in the middle of online discussions, owing to the unique way she puts on her lipstick. “The way I apply my lipstick is not considered normal. It’s a bit weird,” she had shared in a video interview with Hauterfly, showing viewers how she takes the lipstick and moves her mouth across it to apply colour to her lips. Then, she rubs it off for a muted colour to her lips. Her reason for doing so? Applying it the regular way was “tedious” for her.

The third step involves doing her brows. Bhatt takes a clear eyebrow gel and brushes up her brows to give them a feathery look. A hint of mascara coating her lashes helps open up her eyes and make her look lively. “Less is more” is her mantra as she adds a couple dots of illuminating highlighter on the high points of her cheek for a glow from within look.
