Flu cases in Delhi crosses 1000 mark

Swine flu cases continued to surface in the city with 36 more persons testing positive taking the total cases above the 1000-mark in the national capital.

Despite several precautionary measures adopted by the government,swine flu cases continued to surface in the city with 36 more persons testing positive taking the total cases here above the 1000-mark.

“A total of 1,030 swine flu cases have been reported in the city till date. 36 positive H1N1 cases have been identified today. Of the 1,030 patients,876 have been treated and discharged,” Delhi health minister Kiran Walia said.

Giving details of the cases today,Walia said they include 20 children.

She also informed,”154 cases are under treatment at various hospitals from which 23 cases are admitted in the hospitals and rest 131 cases are being treated under home quarantine.”

Walia also informed that it has been made mandatory for the four private empanelled laboratories for testing H1N1 virus to report all the positive swine flu cases to the state nodal officers.
