After Tom Cruise, singer Pink visits this Indian restaurant in Birmingham: ‘I had the best Indian food of my life’

Ahead of her concert at Villa Park, American singer Pink surprised the staff at Asha’s, a famous Indian restaurant in Birmingham. In the city for her summer carnival tour, Pink couldn’t resist indulging in some mouthwatering Indian cuisine. Interestingly, Asha’s is the same restaurant that acclaimed actor Tom Cruise visited in 2021 and singer Ed Sheeran in 2022.

The eatery, owned by Indian singing legend Asha Bhosle, took to Twitter to document this special celebrity visit. “When the stars come to #Birmingham… They head to Asha’s. It was a pleasure to welcome @Pink ahead of her sell-out show this evening at Villa Park. In honour of P!NK’s visit, our expert mixologists created a new Gin-based cocktail, but it’s yet to be named…,” Asha’s tweeted.

According to BBC, Pink turned up at the restaurant without a reservation but the staff quickly found her a table. “She was sweet and said a lot of people told her to come here when she came to Birmingham. All the celebrities who come to Birmingham seem to come here,” a spokeswoman was quoted as saying by the outlet.

It was further revealed by the restaurant that Pink, who was accompanied by her crew and families, ordered samosas, mushroom Kurkure, chicken Chettinadu, and chicken Dhaba curry.

And safe to say, the singer thoroughly enjoyed her Indian food as she was seen announcing the same during her performance at Villa Park. “I had the best Indian food of my life,” she told the audience, adding that if she does random things, “it’s because of the naan”.

Back in 2021, when Tom Cruise had visited this restaurant, Asha Bhosle took to Instagram to express her happiness over it. “I was very happy to hear that Mr Tom Cruise enjoyed his fine dining experience at Asha’s (Birmingham) and I look forward to him visiting us again soon!” she wrote.

In a separate post, the restaurant revealed that Cruise loved the chicken tikka masala so much that he ordered it twice. “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome @tomcruise to Asha’s Birmingham yesterday evening. Tom ordered our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and enjoyed it so much that as soon as he had finished, he ordered it all over again – The greatest compliment,” it wrote.
