Neeraj Chopra bagged a silver at the Olympic 2024 Javelin throw event. (Source: Instagram/OlympicKhel)Neeraj Chopra has won the hearts of millions of Indians with his outstanding performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning a silver medal in javelin throw. However, it’s not just his athletic prowess that has people talking—his wristwatch has also caused quite a stir. On the day of the qualifier and finals, Chopra was seen wearing a sleek wristwatch reportedly worth over 50 lakhs, leaving watch enthusiasts and public in awe.
Reddit was abuzz with speculation about the origin of the watch. Users eventually identified it as an OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M. This was later confirmed by luxury watch retailer Kapoor Watch Company in a blog post. Netizens believe the watch belongs to the Ultra Light series.

According to the official OMEGA website, the watch features a black rubber strap and a dial made from sandblasted grade 5 titanium with Aqua Terra’s signature stripes. “This 41 mm Aqua Terra makes bold use of red on the aluminium seconds hand, Seamaster logo, quarter hour markers and strap stitching. The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8928 Ti, the brand’s first movement built from titanium,” read the page.
When paired with the additional sporty fabric strap, the watch weighs just 55 grams.

While the steel versions of the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M series range from Rs 5-12 lakh, the titanium models, like the one Chopra wore, are priced at Rs 50 lakh and beyond. Other than the black and red combination seen on Chopra, the watch is also available in a yellow and blue variant.
Chopra is the first Indian track and field athlete to be a sports ambassador of the brand.
