Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman-actor Raj Kundra unwind next to the beautiful Arabian Sea everyday. The couple are proud owners of a sea-facing, two-storey Mumbai house named Kinara, which is reportedly worth Rs 100 crore. Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan, who shares cooking vlogs on her YouTube channel, recently took us around the duo's luxurious property, and we are floored. The main entrance, a large door with intricate woodwork and lotus carvings in gold and black, opens into a porch with wooden flooring and a mirror hanging on the side wall. Two silver elephants guard the door, considered to be symbols of protection in feng shui. As we walk inside, we are greeted by a hallway with antique mirrors and LED lights on false ceilings and chandeliers. Wooden decor and art hanging from the walls make up the majority of the property. "Mereko lag raha hain main kisi museum mein aa gayi hoon (I feel like I have come to a museum)," said Khan as she took a tour of the house. Their living area is divided into two parts - a formal space to host guests and an infomal orange hued space for the family to sit together nad unwind. A gold-accented wall and a life-size wooden horse are the major highlights of the room. Neutral toned furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to bounce off and lighten up the room. State of the art machinery and fitness equipment regulary show up in the background of Shilpa Shetty's fitness videos posted on social media. The house has two floors, connected by an elevator. The lift has green leather walls, and takes you to the other floor which opens into a historical palace style area. From the rugs on the ground, to the walls and furniture, there's a touch of royalty in and around the space. An indoor fountain is flanked by white sofas and large spaces with glass flooring. A neon green and white kitchen cooks all their delicious meals, with fresh produce picked from their kitchen garden in the backyard. From small brinjals to green chillies, the Kundras enjoy locals and seasonal vegetables grown by themselves in their house.
