Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a state-of-the-art convention centre named YashoBhoomi under the first phase of India International Convention and Expo Centre in Delhi’s Dwarka on September 17.
Built across more than 73,000 sq m of area, the convention centre boasts of having one of the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities and the largest LED media facade in the country.

YashoBhoomi is the second convention centre with world class infrastructure for exhibitions and conferences, after the Bharat Mandapam, which played host to the world leaders at the recently concluded G20 Summit. Located inside the Pragati Maidan complex in New Delhi, the Bharat Mandapam was inaugurated by Modi on July 26 and handed over to the Ministry of External Affairs for the summit.
YashoBhoomi will be connected to Delhi Airport Metro Express line with the inauguration of the new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 by PM Modi.
YashoBhoomi also offers one of the largest exhibition halls in the world, which could be utilised for hosting exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events.
Consisting of materials and objects inspired from Indian culture, the centre incorporates terazzo floors and brass inlay representing rangolis patterns. YashoBhoomi also serves as an example in including sustainability in infrastructure, having been equipped with a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system with 100 per cent wastewater reuse, rainwater harvesting and rooftop solar panels .

With a total capacity of holding 11,000 delegates, it comprises 15 convention rooms including the main auditorium, the grand ballroom and 13 meeting rooms.
The convention centre’s campus has received Green Cities Platinum certification from CII’s Indian Green Building Council.

The main auditorium, also the plenary hall for the centre, is inclusive of one of the most innovative automated seating systems. With a capacity of seating 6000 people at a time, the system allows to be flat floor seats or an auditorium style tiered seating for different seating configurations. The wooden floors and the acoustic wall panels are added facilities for a world-class experience.
The grand ballroom, with a capacity of holding around 2000 guests, hosts a unique petal ceiling and an extended open area that can seat up to 500 people.

The grand foyer space connected to the exhibition halls is uniquely designed with copper ceiling which filters light in the space through the various skylights. The foyer will house various support areas such as media rooms, VVIP lounges, cloak facilities, visitor information centre, ticketing and more.
