Six soldiers were injured in an explosion on Tuesday in border Rajouri district’s Nowshera sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
While details are awaited, sources said the soldiers were on routine patrolling in the Jhanghar area along the Line of Control (LoC) when the blast took place.
Officials say they are trying to ascertain what caused the blast.
The injured soldiers have been evacuated to the hospital, sources said, adding that the troops have cordoned the area.
Significantly, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a function in Jammu’s Akhnoor on Tuesday to mark the Armed Forces Veterans Day. Speaking at the event, he warned Pakistan not to use PoK’s land for running terrorist camps.
