Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath spoke on the controversy surrounding the Damoh school, which is at the centre of a storm over a poster showing non-Muslim students in headscarf, for the first time Wednesday.
At a press conference in Bhopal, Kamal Nath replied to a question on the proposed demolition at the school.
“Without a proper investigation a bulldozer is being run, this is wrong. What is the main objective, what is the aim and source of this incident? This is something that must be understood,” Nath said.
The Congress has been maintaining silence on the issue ever since the controversy broke out, while the ruling BJP dispensation in the state, including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the Home Minister Narrotam Mishra, have targeted the school’s administration.
