Two minor girls drown in J-K

Two girls drowned in separate incidents in Anantnag and Kupwara districts of Kashmir Valley,police said.

Two girls drowned in separate incidents in Anantnag and Kupwara districts of Kashmir Valley today,police said here.

Rukaya (13),drowned in a stream near Aaru in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district,112 kms from here,they said.

Efforts to fish out the body of girl is on,they said.

In another incident,one-year-old Shafiqa Bano awas drowned in Pahroo stream at Sonwani in Handwara area of Kupwara district,90 kms from here,police said.

The body of the girl was fished out and was handed over to her relatives for last rites.
