Two minor brothers killed in Kashmir explosion

Two boys were on Thursday killed in an explosion in Macchil sector,near the Line of Control (LoC),in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district,a police spokesman said here.

The explosion occurred when three children were fiddling with an object containing explosive material,which they had found in a nearby field in Machil sector of Kupwara district,he said.

The deceased have been identified as 14-year-old Zakir Hussain and seven-year-old Mudasir Hussain of Chontiwara in Macchil,he said.

While,a nine-year-old girl,identified as Gulshan Bano,suffered splinter injuries in the explosion. She has been hospitalised,he added.
