‘Kashmiri Pandits will return only after security assurance’

ASKPC vice president demanded Kashmiri Pandits be declared as internally displaced.

Dismissing as rumour reports of return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits,the All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today cautioned that the migrants would come back only if they were rehabilitated at one place with proper protection.

“Some people having vested interests are spreading rumours about return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley,” ASKPC President A N Vaishnavi said here today.

He said the migrants would return to Kashmir only if they are rehabilitated at one place with proper protection and political,social,and economical security.

“We urge the government to fix water,electricity, transport and drainage systems so that migrants living in the Jagti Township do not face any difficulty,” ASKPC General Secretary H L Chatta said.
