JK DGP directs forces for smooth conduct of Amarnath yatra

The J&K police chief Kuldeep Khoda has asked security officers in the state to coordinate their activities with para-military to ensure smooth conduct of the Amarnath yatra.

The Jammu and Kashmir police chief Kuldeep Khoda has asked security officers in the state to coordinate their activities with para-military to ensure smooth conduct of the Amarnath yatra.

Khoda,who reviewed security arrangements of Amarnath yatra at a high-level meeting here,on Monday,asked them to make efforts to provide all basic amenities at various transit and lodging centres across Jammu division.

The meeting reviewed security and other aspects pertaining to facilities being extended to pilgrims during their stay at the base camp at Yatri Niwas here and other lodging centres.

The DGP alongwith senior officers also visited the base camp of the Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar here and reviewed the security arrangements.

The meeting was also attended by K Rajendra Kumar,IGP Jammu zone,AK Sarollia,IG BSF,and RC Payal,IG CRPF.
