Haul of explosives and ammunition recovered in Rajouri

Security forces have recovered a huge quantity of explosives and ammunition from Pohalgai area,190 kms from Jammu,a defence spokesman said on Friday.

On a tip off,a joint column of Territorial Army and state police launched an operation in Rajouri district and recovered the arms cache on Thursday,he added.

The recoveries included eight Improvised Explosive Devices (IED),four IED timer devices,49 grenades,3.5 kgs of explosives,ten detonators,one pistol with magazine,90 rounds of AK ammunition,35 rounds of pika ammunition and two radio sets,the spokesman said.
