Additional Director General (ATS & SOG) V K Singh told reporters, “16 SI probationers have been questioned by the Special Operations Group (SOG). Among them, the crime of 14 has been confirmed while investigation is on regarding the other two.”

The trainee SIs were undergoing training at the Rajasthan Police Academy, Jaipur, and at the Rajasthan Police Training Centre in Kishangarh, Ajmer. As per the list shared by the SOG, most of the accused are from Sanchore while others hail from Jodhpur, Barmer and Churu. “There were two others — Rajendra Yadav and Ashok Nathawat — who were selected as probationer sub inspectors but did not join.
