It’s manufactured controversy: BJP on Nihalchand

Meanwhile, Nihal Chand on Friday also met Home Minister and BJP president Rajnath Singh to explain the factual position about the controversy surrounding him.

Unfazed by the opposition Congress’ demands for his resignation, the ruling BJP on Friday came out in support of Union Minister Nihalchand saying that a politically motivated controversy is being “manufactured” against him.

Meanwhile, Nihal Chand on Friday also met Home Minister and BJP president Rajnath Singh to explain the factual position about the controversy surrounding him.

“A controversy is being manufactured against Nihalchand while there is no such thing. Creating a controversy where exist none is unfortunate. This issue is being raised only after he became an Union minister,” BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters. Hussain’s comments came after Nihalchand’s meeting with BJP president.

Hussain sought to stress the closure report in the said case was filed during the Congress-led state government’s tenure to suggest that he has gotten a clean chit.
