Prime Minister Narendra Modi wound up his tour of poll bound Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday where he expressed confidence of the ruling BJP returning to power and said the Congress has accepted defeat and was now relying on luck.

PM Modi said the state had made up its mind to elect him in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and asked voters to elect a BJP government. He brushed off the Congress challenge saying it was “headed to a shameful loss” and now “they’re relying on luck”.

“The Congress got nervous and started threatening government employees. I assure government employees they don’t need to be afraid of Congress threats. Please do your work with honesty. MP has BJP and it will remain so after December 3,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi mocked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi calling him a chief of fools for his comment in Neemuch on November 13, where he had said he saw the ‘Made in China’ tag on smartphones and t-shirts and not the ‘Made in Madhya Pradesh’ tag, something the Congress party wanted to realise one day.

“Yesterday, a wise man from the Congress party, was saying that the people of the country only have ‘made in China’ mobiles. Arre moorkhon ke sardar (chief of fools), which world do you live in? Congress leaders are afflicted with the mental disease of ignoring India’s achievements. I wonder what foreign glasses they have worn that they are not able to see in India,” Modi said.

The PM said when the “Congress was in power, India’s manufacturing of mobile phones was under Rs 20000 crore” but today, India’s industry has grown to over Rs 3.5 lakh crore. India is also exporting mobile phones worth Rs 1 lakh crore.”

PM Modi also attacked the Congress over corruption allegations claiming that their leaders were scared that Modi was going to open by their lockers, refering to BJP allegations of cash and gold stashed in private lockers by those close to Congress government leaders in Rajasthan.

“Look at Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh… what is the situation of corruption?… they are scared many lockers may open… they are worried about Modi knowing about these lockers, they are opening the lockers and piles of notes are coming out, gold is coming out. Corruption and crime, the combination of these two under Congress is enough to ruin any state. Where Congress comes to power, it brings such destruction,” Modi said.

While addressing tribal voters, Modi told them he could not campaign in MP on Wednesday as he was headed to Jharkhand to launch a Rs 24,000-crore scheme aimed at the holistic development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas on November 15.

PM Modi said the Congress garnered votes from the tribal community for decades by making false promises, but it was the BJP which had a place for them in their hearts.

“Check any of our manifestos, have we ever stated in any of them that we will make an adivasi daughter the president of the country? No. But in our hearts, there is a place for you. That’s why when the opportunity arose, BJP acknowledged adivasi pride, and today, a daughter of a poor adivasi family Draupadi Murmu, is the President of the country,” PM Modi said.
